We were able to get sixty surveys completed during the event. These surveys will assist the Tribe in assessing the needs of the local communities of both Smith River and Brookings. The information gathered will also be used to assist the Natural Resources Department to establish our goals and objectives for the FEMA 2012 Community Resilience Innovation Challenge program.
A drawing was held from the names of folks that took the time to fill out the Preparedness Survey. Out of the sixty surveys completed, Karin Levy’s name was drawn as the winner of the Red Cross 3-day emergency back pack filled with survival gear and first aid supplies. The survey also prompted many conversations during the day regarding the various levels That people were prepared and how they could enhance their current emergency response plans.
Thank you to everyone who participated and took the time to complete the surveys.
Shu’ shaa nin-la (Thank you much!)
