PUBLIC NOTICE TO ALL INTERESTED TRIBAL MEMBERS INDIAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (ICDBG) PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PROCESS FOR FY2014

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has published a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Indian Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG) program for FY2014. Application deadline is July 29, 2014 for eligible applicants that include Indian Tribes or tribal organizations. ICDBG funds are made available by HUD for a variety of projects which benefit primarily low and moderate income persons.

Smith River Rancheria is considering submitting a ICDBG proposal to extend sewer lines, the next phase of the overall sewer system master plan.

Smith River Rancheria will conduct a meeting for public comment, as part of the open Council meeting, beginning at 6:00pm on July 22, 2014 at Howonquet Hall Community Center, 101 Indian Court, Smith River, CA 95567. All interested Tribal members are invited to attend the meeting.
