THE NATIONAL INDIAN JUSTICE CENTER PRESENTS:
This one day training session is designed for tribal social workers and provides information on active efforts for employees, volunteers, and child care workers that work with, care for or have access to tribal children. Active efforts are re-quired under federal law to maintain and reunite an Indian child with his or her family or tribal community and constitute more than reasonable efforts as re-quired by the Title IV-E of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 671(a)(15)). This train-ing session is intended for tribal social workers, ICWA advocates, county social workers, and those who work with tribal children
Participants will receive a training manual with a companion PowerPoint presenta-tion. This training session will be delivered in a one-day workshops for two to three days at each training site.
