The Waa-tr’vslh’a~ Department will be holding an NDN-tivity on Saturday November 8th and Sunday November 9th, from 10:00 am—2:00 pm. We will be meeting at Xaa-wan’-k’wvt Hall Community Center, to make hair wraps and dance knives. This is the first in a series of activities for making regalia. The goal of this series of activities is to create enough regalia to dress a man/boy or a young woman/girl. Essential materials will be provided to a limited number of participants. Space is on a first come first serve basis with room for 40 participants (20 hair wraps/20 dance knives). Beyond the 40 participants, anyone is welcome to attend and participate as long as you supply your own materials. Please bring your own sack lunch.

The following supplies will be provided for hair wraps: fur, leather, sinew, scissors and sewing tools.
Please supply your own beads, shells and bear grass for your hair ties.
The following supplies will be provided for dance knives: handle, carving knife, point, fashioning glue and sinew.
Please supply your own feathers, beads, paint and leather to dress your knife.
