Community and Family Services (CFS) facilitated a twelve week, Fatherhood is SacredTM, Motherhood is SacredTM Program. The program was created
by NAFFA (Native American Fatherhood & Families Association). Tiffany Shannon and Garrett Campbell are NAFFA trained facilitators for this highly successful parenting curriculum that explores the five core principles to grow a happy and safe family.
There were a total of eight participants, with each participant bringing a unique perspective and experience to the group. Their active participation
contributed to productive and diverse sessions. As this group grew more comfortable with each other in every class, they ultimately created a sense of community within, creating an environment in which we all learned together.
At the end of the program, both staff and participants felt they had grown; it was a rich feeling to celebrate the participants’ success at the graduation
celebration held April 25th, 2019.
We look forward to hosting more programs like this in the future.
