Rowdy Creek Fish Hatchery, in partnership with Tolowa Dee-ni’ Nation, is seeking volunteer leaders to join its dynamic Board of Directors! More information on Rowdy Creek Fish Hatchery is
available at www.rowdycreek.org.
The purpose of the hatchery is to provide quality Chinook salmon and steelhead to support Tribal subsistence and sport fishery harvest in the Smith River. Board members are actively involved in organizational governance, and are expected to attend board meetings, participate in organizing and facilitating fundraisers, solicit or contribute donations for fundraising events, and manage hatchery employees. Continuation of the Rowdy Creek Fish Hatchery depends on the Board’s ability to successfully raise at least $70,000 in operating funds for the facility annually.
The Board depends on the varied skills of its members to support Hatchery operations wherever the need exists. We encourage all interested applicants to apply! Current needs at the Hatchery will place an emphasis on candidates with accounting, human resource, media, and/or fundraising experience.
