“It Takes a Community to Raise a Child” is this year’s theme for the April 21 event. From 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, bring your family and enjoy a wide variety of free activities and entertainment in the Main Hall, as well as free roller skating at this tobacco free event. The Boys Scouts will also be hosting their annual Scout-O-Rama at the fairgrounds, which will include pinewood derby races. So there will be a lot to see and do.
This annual event aims to educate and entertain, is designed to create community awareness about child abuse and prevention and is meant to provide a more proactive, positive approach to the subject. It also gives families the opportunity to participate in something together, as constant positive family interac-tion is a strong preventer of child abuse.
If you would like to participate or need more information, please contact the Family Resource Center at 464-5500 and speak to Cathy.
