Rowdy Creek Fish Hatchery’s 31st Annual Winter Steelhead Derby
Chopper Derby: February 21-23, 2013
Hank Derby: March 7-9, 2013

Each Derby is a three day event, with dinners, drinks and camaraderie every evening and two days of guided fishing. The derbies consist of teams made up of four men and two guides. These teams are then divided into an ”A” team & a “B” team, each of these teams consist of two men and one guide. On Friday, the “A” team will fish Oregon’s Chetco River, while the “B” team fishes California’s Smith River. On Saturday, the teams switch to fish the opposite river. Now that Rowdy Creek Fish Hatchery has partnered with Smith River Rancheria, we plan to make this derby the best one yet, so get a team together and call the Hatchery at 707-487-3443 for entry forms.
