Brad Cass – Recipient of the Tolowa Dee-ni’ Nation’s 1st SHU’ NA’SR-DVTLH-NVSH-NE Award (Distinguished Service)
Brad has been a key employee of the Tribe for over 10 years. He has quietly worked on projects creating opportunity for growth of the Tribal Government and economic ventures of the Tribe. He has a tendency to never say no, and has taken on monumental tasks for the health and safety of the tribal community and its environment. His contribution to the Tribal Administration have benefited us all in one way or another. Prior to relocating to Brookings from Magdalena, New Mexico in 2003, Brad was employed by the New Mexico Rural Water Association as a Field Specialist and the Village of Magdalena as their Public Works Director. He has a AA from LA Pierce College in Architecture and is a Veteran. He proudly served as a Personnel man 1st Class in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1971. He does however plan on retiring in a few years with aspirations to be the best Wal-Mart greeter one could imagine.
On April 28th, we honored Brad with the Nation’s first Distinguished Service Award. He exemplifies what a loyal dedicated employee is and we thank him for his dedicated years of service to our community.
