Monday, 22 January 2018 by

On Saturday, January 27th there will be a fruit tree pruning workshop held from 1:00-2:30 at the Xaa-wan’-k’wvt Chee-ne’ Tetlh-tvm (Food Forest) located at the Xaa-wan’-k’wvt Early Learning Center.  Join us to learn how to prune your fruit trees for shape, health, and production.  This is the best time of year to get this task done, while your trees are dormant.  Please spread the word to anyone you think might be interested and let me know if you have any questions.

Stalking Awareness Month- January 2018

Wednesday, 03 January 2018 by

In recognition of Stalking Awareness Month- January 2018, the Shu’-‘aa-xuu-dvn (In A Good Way Place) Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Program would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the thousands of people across the nation in raising awareness about stalking: the prevalence, the lethality, and the impact.
With the dedication of local agencies and the continued community support we can all help to create a brighter future free of violence and fear.
Shu’ ‘aa-shii nin-la ( thank you, I really)

While legal definitions of stalking vary from one jurisdiction to another, a good working definition of stalking is a course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person to feel fear.

Stalking is serious, often violent, and can escalate over time.

If you or a loved one is being stalked and you would like to speak to someone, please contact:
