CHAIRPERSON APPOINTED TO FEDERAL EPA ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Chairperson Kara Miller was appointed to serve at the Federal level on the Environmental Protection Act’s (EPA) Local Government Advisory Committee (LGAC). Chairperson Miller’s term is for one year, ending on March 11, 2015.
The LGAC is chartered under the Federal Advisory Committee Act to provide advice that assists the EPA in developing a stronger partnership with local governments and building state and local capacity to deliver environmental services and programs. Topics include regulatory innovation and reform, environmental protection tools, pollution prevention, new technologies, performance measurement, and appropriate roles of the various government levels in efficient and coordinated environmental management.
